Costa Del Golf - Golf In Spain

Costa Del Sol on Spain’s Mediterranean coast has long been called “Costa Del Golf” by golf fans from the UK who head there ever year to play on some of the worlds finest golf courses in glorious weather. It is said to be the worlds most populated area of golf courses in the world and a drive down the coast road gives you some idea why.

At almost every turn off is a huge billboard advertising yet another golf course. This is Seve Ballesteros back yard and the great man is solely responsible for golf becoming such a huge sport in a country that before Seve, followed soccer and bull fighting.

Many of the golf courses on the Costa Del Sol are huge houses complexes owned by over 1 million ex-pat Britons who have headed there to live in the sunshine full time. Many others are owned by Brit’s and Germans and used as holiday homes and these can often be rented for a great golf holiday.

Spain is a great destination for a vacation but it is especially famous for its wonderful golf courses and guaranteed golfing weather.
