The Easy Way to Find Golf Information Online

January 23rd, 2009 Golf Trip Planning 0 Comment

Golf is one of the most popular sports in the world and not surprisingly there are millions of websites dedicated to the sport.  The problem for the keen golfer is that there is literally too much information.

When you go to a search engine they will often give you far more information than you can use.

To show this I have just done a random search for “buy new seven iron” - no quotes. The return is 18,600,000 web pages.

This is of little or no assistance.I have a bad does of overloaded brain, particularly as a quick look through the first page of websites suggests a lot of narrow websites rather then a the general overview retailer that i was hoping for

As another example I have tried “golf course in Arizona”.This time we get 3,400,000 web pages returned.

It occurred to me that there must be a solution to this; a way of cutting through the overwhelming amount of information supplied by the might of Google.

Months later it came to me.

My solution was simple; my own personal golf toolbar. If you are not sure toolbars sit as a line of icons at the top of your browser.

In the toolbar I put in my favorite golfing websites so that whenever I wanted golf information it was there at the top of my screen every time I was online.  It meant that I could go to my favorite store, the best course directory, the news center I created, in an instant. It was the quality over quantity approach.

I use Google rarely now for golf searches and just rely on the toolbar most of the time.

I decided that it would be great for others to use the toolbar and it’s here.Anyone can see it and decide if it is for them.It loads in no time and the Trusted Download icon shows it is completely safe.

It currently features a leading golf retailer, a special site for training aids, videos and books , plus a golf news centre, a weather forecast (perhaps the most useful thing of all), a vacation arranger, utilities, games and loads of other useful stuff.

The Golf toolbar.

I find it useful and I hope that others will too. There is no charge though I should mention that if you should purchase through the retailer on the toolbar I do receive a commission.

I hope that you enjoy the golf toolbar.

The Golf Help Tips: Slice Basics

January 21st, 2009 Golf Trip Planning 0 Comment

The clubface being open to the swing path may be the technical cause of all slices but it.s the outside-to-inside swing that makes the slice so complicated and so difficult to cure. An outside-to-inside swing will in most circumstances encourage you to hit the ball with an open clubface producing a slice. Yes, you could hit a pull or a pull hook, but this occurs far less frequently than the slice.

For most golfers both the open clubface and the outside-to-inside swing work together to cause the slice. If you cure just one factor you will most likely still slice! This is what makes the slice so difficult to cure. If all slices were hit with a straight swing path (just with the clubface open), the slice would be a relatively easy problem to cure.

The slice causes more frustration and confusion than any other problem in golf. If you follow your natural tendencies when trying to correct your slice you.ll actually slice more. When a slice begins golfers often try to correct it by hitting with a more outside-to-inside swing aiming the ball more to the left and letting it slice back to the right. Once you have an outside-to-inside swing the slice becomes very complicated.

If you do square up the clubface (to the swing path), you.ll wind up with a pull. So golfers quickly learn to keep the club open a little. Then if you do manage a straight swing (with the clubface open) the ball still slices and may wind up even further to the right than before. In effect your better swings can make your slice seem worse.

The only effective way to cure the slice is a two step procedure. You must work on only one factor at a time. If you try to work on both the open clubface and the outside-to-inside swing at the same time you will become confused, overwhelmed and doom yourself to failure.

It.s almost like you can.t cure the slice by trying to cure the slice. It.s too complicated. This frustration results in some golfers going through endless cycles of trying to cure their slice. Others resign themselves to living with the slice forever. Some even quit playing. Make sure that you will go through this fix the slice, if you want to be expert.

There’s More To Golf Than You Think

Do you like golf? I know I do, but not for the reasons most people think. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy driving the ball from the tee and seeing it sail 300 yards down the center of the fairway. I like hitting a 3-iron 250 yards to the green, and I really like sinking 30-yard putts. But that isn’t why I play golf.

I play for the stress relief! Have you ever heard the phrase, “A bad day on the golf course is better than a good day at work?”

That statement is more true than most of us realize. If you play golf for relaxation and meditation, you will be less stressed. I even prefer to play by myself when I don’t have to be concerned with chasing someone else’s ball! (I have enough issues chasing my own).

You can learn to play golf by getting videos for less than $10. After that, try finding a starter set of golf clubs on Ebay, or at your local resale shop. You can probably develop a good golfing habit for less than $200 if you look around.

There is nothing like a relaxing day playing golf and enjoying some “me” time. You should try it as soon as spring rolls around. You never know, you may just get hooked!

Scandinavian company Ecco continues to deliver the excellence they have become known for in their current line of ECCO golf shoes. With all different sizes and colors available in their women’s styles, technology and comfort abound. The Ecco golf shoes sport different technologies that can help enhance a golfer’s game. Several styles include Ecco’s patented water resistant Hydromax leather keeping feet dry while tromping through the rough on that par 5. The process of water resisting the shoes isn’t just on the outside, but throughout the leather for longer lasting effectiveness.

For golfers who prefer to walk during their round of golf, ECCO shoes have “Direct Inject” technology creating a lightweight but strong outside. The direct inject feature provides stability and cushioning allowing for extended time on one’s feet without becoming fatigued. Since the soles of these shoes are built with out glue or stitching, they prove to be long lasting – perfect for many rounds of comfortable golfing.

The Ecco golf shoes were designed with golfers in mind. Each golf shoe includes the Ecco swing stabilizer providing an internal system that helps stabilize heels during every golf swing. Ecco has also eliminated a distraction during the golf game by providing each pair of shoes with waxed laces that will stay tied and not throw off the rhythm of the game. Rather wear a spikeless shoe? Ecco also has those available. Still providing traction and grip, these shoes won’t create divots or scratches on sensitive greens.

Colors and varieties of Ecco golf shoes abound. Men’s styles range from the Classic saddle to the Flexor model to a casual tennis shoe style of golf shoe. There are many color options ranking from the more conservative but chic white and black combinations, to brown (all colors of brown and white). Ecco golf shoes also provide a more contemporary vibe of a mix of reds (lava), blues, and black and tans for the shoes as well.

The women’s styles of Ecco golf shoes are just as appealing. Several styles sport a classic wing buckle, to traditional laces, to a Velcro strap look. Great bold colors here as well including pink, raspberry, tans, and silvers. Ecco golf shoes range from $110 to $430. Features and styles vary with each pair of shoe allowing the golfer to choose the perfect golf shoes for their golf game.
